Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD)
Principal Investigators: Angie Laird, Raul Gonzalez
Contact: Chelsea Greaves
The ABCD Study is following more than 10,000 children through adolescence to explore questions about brain development and experiences that affect growth.
Assessing Heterogeneity of Executive Function and Affect Development (AHEAD)
Principal Investigators: Anthony Dick, Paulo Graziano
Contact: Melissa Hernandez
In collaboration with Dr. Anthony Dick, the AHEAD Project aims to examine the feasibility of identifying “biosignatures” derived from an integration of neuropsychological, neurobiological (functional and diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging; fMRI and DWI-MRI) and autonomic (ANS) pathophysiological markers of executive function (EF) and emotion regulation (ER), which may aid in the early identification and tailored treatment of behavioral phenotypes of ADHD.
Relating hippocampal volume to spatial reorientation strategies in early childhood (SEA)
Principal Investigators: Bethany Reeb-Sutherland, Shannon Pruden, Anthony Dick
Contact: Hannah Bowley
Emotional Memory Unification (EMU) Study
Principal Investigators: Dana McMakin, Aaron Mattfeld
Contact: Guadalupe Patriarca
The EMU study (Emotional Memory Unification) aims to study the role that sleep plays in processing emotional memories.
Antecedents and Consequences of Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems Project (ACE)
Principal Investigators: Matthew Sutherland, Elisa Trucco
Contact: Narseen Hidmi
The ACE Project is a 5-year project through Florida’s first Health Disparities Research Center at a Minority Institution (RCMI) funded by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD/NIH). The project examines risk and protective factors that lead to electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) usage (e.g. e-cigarettes, vaping, etc.) among teenagers and the impact of ENDS usage on the developing brain.
