Successful completion of MRI safety training allows faculty, staff, and students to be designated as official Users of the MRI facility. Users are then granted key card access to rooms in the facility, as well as access to the MRI calendar and system for managing radiological reads. Thus, safety training is required for all members of the research team, including PIs.
The Fall 2018 MRI safety training sessions are tentatively scheduled for the following days:
Thursday, September 13th,
Friday, October 12th,
Tuesday, November 13th, and
Wednesday, December 5th,
The MRI safety training sessions will be held at 1 pm in the CCF-CIS conference room (PG5-126B). Please send Diamela Arencibia (darencib@fiu.edu) an RSVP if you plan to attend. Please allow 3 hours for the training session, which concludes with a short exam. Attendees must receive a score of 80% to pass the safety training course.
